MOOSE Notebooks
MOOSE stands for Management of Organizational Skills Everyday! This notebook is designed to help students develop good organizational skills that will benefit them throughout life. It will also ensure parents receive all homework assignments, notes, and graded papers. Parents are asked and encouraged to check the Moose notebook each night with their child. On Fridays, the child is to turn in the parent checked assignment sheet.
Moose notebooks are organizational binders used to keep student’s work and forms organized. The notebook is to help students develop good organizational skills that will benefit them throughout life. The Moose notebook also ensures parents receive all homework assignments, notes, and graded papers.
Below you will find a description of each section of the MOOSE book.

This is where students put lunch money or notes to teacher. |
| Homework Section |
Weekly Homework Assignment sheet. Parents sign it nightly after students complete all homework. You will also find weekly spelling lists, math fact practice pages, and any other sheets needed for homework! The Reading Log is also kept here. Please record books/page numbers in a chapter book every night! |

Students will put the monthly snack calendar and lunch menu here. |
| Classroom Information |
This information is to be used as a reference for parents. It contains classroom policies and procedures. |
| Red Folder/Notes from School |
This is where students put information we get from the office or special notes. Please check this section daily. |
| Red Folder/Graded Papers |
Students put work done in class that they can now keep at home in this pocket. Please clean out daily! |
