Start off using more hair accessories. A hair accessory adds interest to a style and requires little work on your part. Put on a thin headband horizontally on your forehead. It will give you a cool look and keep your hair in place all at the same time.
You can make your own interesting headband in no time at all:
- Buy three 2-foot strands of silk cord (try different shades in the same color family) at a fabric or craft shop
- Braid them together and make a knot at each end
- Tie it on
- Secure it at the back of your head
Make an Acne-Fighting Mask
- Stop summer greasy skin with a simple, natural face mask
- Certain seasonal fruits such as pineapple and papaya are loaded with enzymes that help dissolve oil and slough off dead skin
- Apply the mask once a week to soak up acne-causing grease
At Home Recipe
- Cut a papaya in half
- Toss the seeds
- Scoop out the fruit
- Mash it
- Beat an egg until it is frothy
- Then mix it with the papaya, the egg helps the mask stick
- Add half a cup of crushed pineapple to the egg/papaya mixture
- Whip together (you can also mix the ingredients in the blender or a food processor)
- Cover your face with the mixture
- Avoid the sensitive eye area from your brows to the tops of your cheekbones
- Leave it on for about 10 minutes
- Rinse thoroughly
Instant Summer Gloss
- Try using clear lip balm mixed with bronzer or cream eye shadow
