What is Site Promotion?

Site promotion is essentially "internet marketing," or "online marketing."  It is the process of using all areas of internet advertising to gain traffic or an audience to your web site.  It involves creative and technical aspects of the internet that include:

  • web site design
  • web site development
  • web site advertising and marketing

Site promotion methods include:

  • search engine marketing (search engine optimization and pay per click advertising)
  • banner advertising
  • e-mail marketing
  • affiiate marketing
  • interactive advertising
  • email advertising

On the Site Promotion web site you will find FREE reprint articles referencing all the above topics.  As you build your online presence, remember two things:

  1. It is hard work that involves many, many hours of work on your personal time schedule.
  2. Sometimes the BEST things in life are FREE, and there is where all the FREE reprint articles come in handy.  Don't pay high prices for information you can find for FREE through the FREE reprint articles.

Everyday, common people can sometimes educate you greater than those holding countless college degrees and initials behind their names.  How did everyone survive before all the "official" colleges, universities and "Professional" people drove through town?

On this website, I do not personally promote any of the information or authors, except of course, those articles I write myself.  Be your own judge as you read the articles.  Use the content knowing that it is at your risk.

If you pay money for the same information you can get for FREE.... SHAME ON YOU... you probably are only making the writer of the information a little "richer."  He or she goes to the bank and cashes your check laughing just the same as those on the internet who have web sites and sales letters full of hype about their special reports and their special ebooks on how to get rich on the internet or how to make a passive income on the internet.  One is probably the college graduate with initials behind their name writing articles you purchased at $100 each either to use or to post on your website, newsletter or blog about how to success on the internet.  The other is probably a common, everyday Joe Blow, who sold you a hyped up report or ebook on how to succeed on the internet.

In my opinion, there is no difference in these types of people.  They are both after your money and neither of them may help you in any way to succeed on the internet.  At least with a FREE article, all you do is read it, try the techniques suggested, abandon them if they do not work.  You will be out the money perhaps you spend on the FREE article idea if it does not work for you, but $100 richer if the same information was acquired from a $100 purchased article.

Some people learn faster that the $59.99 dress at J.C. Penneys will one day be marked down to about $15.99.  Since there are thousands of that same style available in J.C. Penneys, why not wait for the bargain?  Chances are that same dress will be there on the sale rack for $15.99 just a few weeks on down the road.

A Brief History of Internet Marketing

Internet marketing began in the early 1990s.  Over time internet marketing and site promotion evolved from selling information products to people selling advertising space, software programs, business models and many other products and services.
