Ferries

Ferry connections in Santorini Island are frequent.  This is especially true during the summer time in the high season (July and August).  A lot of ships leave daily from Piraeus to Santorini and vice-versa.  Typical journey of the boat is:

• Piraeus - Paros - Naxos - Ios - Santorini

Santorini Island is one of the most popular destinations in Greece.  You will also find frequent connections between Santorini and other Cyclades Islands such as:

• Mykonos
• Anafi
• Amorgos
• Rhodes
• Crete
• Thessaloniki

If you take the boat from Piraeus, which is the main port of Athens, you will be able to reach Santorini:

• in about 9 hours on the classical ferry
• 7 hours with the Blue Star Ferries
• less than 7 hours with the catamaran or the hydrofoil

There are many options. 

There is a daily speed boat service from the port of Rafina, which is about an hour drive from the center of Athens.
